taking away a youth's tech device accomplishes nothing. they learn less being banned than making mistakes through trial and error themselves. social policing by adults is not "concern for safety". most of those who advocate for no phones on campuses benefit from the free-for-all on other's children.
informing media literacy standards into social norms through educational programs and schools, hiring informed adults into school settings who are MORE tech capable than students, diversifying research norms again beyond smart searches and ai chat bots, writing new codes with old protocols in order to develop modern narratives instead of relying on reruns.
if you do not teach a child to use a tool, and delay their exposure to the tool, you inhibit their access later in life. which is the point of tokenized teams trying to ban children from devices and social media and making them prey to adult groomers. most teachers are not predators - but the predates will be upset by rules which inhibit their predation. that's why they push laws which masc as regulation but are in fact harmful and restrictive and unfair.
