They all do. Every one in power before and now has utter contempt towards any and all plebs.

The reality, even if they didn't at the start, they become corrupted immediately. That's why governance truly by the people would require voting someone in, evaluate them with extreme frequency, fail it, and be gone! Basically, every body... EVERYBODY needs to be gunning for their job, in continuous state of readiness and campaigning in innovative ways, so any ANY AND ALL "Public Servant" loses their sense of entitlement and actually starts HUMBLY doing some actual work!

I worked for the government for 20 years.

I do not know how in the world I stayed alive. It did almost kill me more than once.

My integrity made me a target, but it did also made me a point person for those who needed help. There are so many lost souls in that abyss.
