The crematorium has just been in contact.

Apparently I should have picked up my Dads ashes ages ago, I had assumed they had been scattered as per my request.

They offered to scatter them in their grounds.

Without me in attendance: Free

Me attending: £74

Oh, but they did write to me the day after the funeral to offer to sell me a bench seat in their grounds for £400

Yes, I never really understood the holding on of carbon remains of loved ones. Your memories of them are what matter most.

I thought the thievery ended with estate tax. Apparently not. Now you have to pay "remains redistribution observation" tax too. Sorry for your loss.
