Thom Yorke has been one of my artist heroes throughout my adult life. We grow older together and here he is in his late 50s with Johnny Greenwood, playing in front of kids in school.
What I see here is the individuality of the next generation. Some find it boring, others are excited, some are distracted, others are absorbing beauty. They aren't shy to express themselves freely as they are. It's always been like that.
And as the artists, as Thom and Johnny, what do you do with your audience? You just do your thing, you do what you enjoy, and you observe what's happening with your creation and smile with gratitude about the fact that your are alive and can do these things here on Earth. I love Thom's warm, wise face at the end of the clip 🧡
