I would DYOR on the difference between how analog TV broadcasting worked, vs how streaming Internet video works.

An analog broadcast could be picked up by an unlimited number of receivers. Digital is limited by available bandwidth. That's why Netflix has local repeaters to serve their video library installed at ISP across the globe, a single server can't provide that kind of bandwidth. With a live event they can't have it preloaded, and their infrastructure couldn't support it.
