I’m fine with it to a degree.
But I’m also considering building something here and I 100% know that Nostr nor any other “alt” will be able to have mass adoption without some sort of controls.
Being free to say it doesn’t mean it should be said. But at the same time while I don’t like to see it, I have to understand it is a part of the whole thing.
I was having a bad few days, and just jumped to f bombs, so not my best hour. Didn’t expect to see that stuff last night when I got ‘tagged’ into the thread unexpectedly.
How do we get the mommas, papas and kiddos on Nostr if they are just going to be bombarded with inappropriate stuff?
Think of it this way, NOSTR is a protocol, anyone can create a website around it.
Clients will come and go. As will relays.
Anyone can host a relay, or subscribe to any relay they have permissions for.
So for example if E. Macron wants to create a “French” public nostr client website that scrubs all the riot posts or anything bad about the French government, and highlight in bright yellow any post supporting Klaus Schwab and the WEF. He can.
Nostr allows that.
