They have a lot invested in their online personas and its easier to avoid the topic rather than take a stand and risk burning bridges. By October,, the issue will be big enough it can't be ignored.
I have only seen 2 or 3 big names support Bitcoin Knots. Either these other people are all insiders with options and investments. Or they want Core Devs as future guests / friends at events etc. The literal Plebs with 5 followers will have to save Bitcoin.
