Stating the obvious: Miners should transparently prioritize financial transactions over image storage and spam transactions. They already have all the tools they need to do this.

Woke. A miner isn’t some charity
Minig is an iterative prisoners dilemma auction. The rules of iterative PD are different to that of a single auction. Folks, particularly miners, just havent realized this yet, because the subsidy dominates. But it wont long-term. Miners will lose money in the long run, if they prioritize the obviously bad transactions. If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
Eh sounds like cope
Wonder who's going to continue mining when it's all mined / nearly mined out. Not far from now. Already see people dropping out and selling of equipment. No interest without the possibility of the return. Completely forgetting about what else miners actually do. It's going to get bumpy.
Were closer to bitcoin being created than we are "its all mined out". People selling equipment isn't a sign of anything besides changing markets/interest which is good.
Wasn't talking about little guy gpu miners. A couple of datacenter miners. Point is they shut it down because no point without the profit to them. They don't care about any other function - which was the actual point. I'll try to be more clear.
What are you talking about GPU miners don't work on bitcoin anymore and haven't for a while. And like I said, data center miners shutting down doesn't signal shit, hash is higher than ever. Mining is best on stranded energy or when the output heat is used for something else. You're basically saying only big centralized mining is ideal which is the opposite of what the future looks like if you look at any mining posts on Nostr
I'm talking about people, not centralized. They just bought into the FUD. No point, you obviously are wanting an argument.
Why should they do that if the fees are higher on some other transaction? The more I listen to this debate the more I fall on the core side and spam isn't what y'all keep calling it.
