Yes, it can be used. There are multiple implementations. I’ve been working on adding it to Sparrow wallet for the past few weeks.

This would be a game changer. Sparrow is legendary. I wasn’t sure bc GH and GitLab haven’t seen commits in a while.

Stating it can be used in production is pretty reckless imho.
