In 1884, the 8 hour work day was created and implemented on May 1st. This was called May Day or Labour Day. It was to celebrate the beginning of summer, workers and fair working conditions.

The USA corrupted the holiday and moved it to September to mark the end of summer and the end of “vacation season” what a bunch of fake BS.
