If you have to wear a suit to be taken serious then you're doing something wrong or you're lacking self-confidence.

In the corporate world it’s called “work attire”. Nothing to do with confidence but more of a workspace environment.
Not all workspace requires a specific work attire but some culture pretty much requires it especially when you are in a position of authority.

Yes it does and we have too many of those these days. I also understand that in some workplaces or cultures a suit is or can be mandatory.
However, O was referencing the same people you were taking about. Who ate now putting on suits to be taken serious by the other suits.
