if you are ok with all this, then I recommend you start with something like EndeavourOS, this will skip the overwhelming installation of Arch Linux and give you a GUI out of the box without any other unncessary packages. A the same time it wont make things too easy for you so you will still get experience with command line stuff.

Im assuming you want this to be a learning experience and best practice stuff right?
