I assume its a visual representation of the "xxx tweets" // "xxx commits" in the profile.

Both metrics can be gamed but it seems like a cool idea to see who spends more time shipping than shit posting.

and thus will begin a new trend of people making commits with 500 changes that only alter the whitespace

add rules to a game, the players will adapt, and by players i mean "players" like "quit playing around"
