It means that if a company wanted to add NIP05 to their site, they can point at the standard and say it is there. This also means that other server apps may choose to implement it and have easier time justifying it. And also, nobody else can claim nostr.json under well-known for their purpose. Standardization and global recognition to an extent. Baby steps. πΆπΎπ«‘
