My best solution so far has been AnySoft Keyboard. But it has some issues as well. Not nearly as bad as stock AOP tho.

Its already looking better. Backspace issue fixed.
Is it secure 😃 I will do my research. Was warned it could save keystrokes.
It logs on-device for learning and personalization purposes, but does not have access to the internet.
