Salute! Are they solo mining now?

🙏 I’ve got them in a pool for now. May move them over to my umbrel-hosted Public Pool to solo. We’ll see!

I really want to assemble one from PCB up!

So four of them mine an amount that is substantial for the investment in machines?

Let me get back to you in a month to see what my #bitcoin payout share is relative to additional power cost.

Yes please. Power cost is probably marginal with this power consumption :)

It looks like boosted tha hashrate on those :)

I’ve noticed the Supras I’ve got start out high on the hashrate and then settle down into the 600 GH/s range after about 30 - 45 min. Not sure what could be causing that. 🤔

Ok...those are Supras. Explains a lot.

What is this? Bitcoin for ants?

🤣🤣🤣

More like for plebs

I really wanted to get into mining but it seemed like just stacking was a better use of time. At least that’s what a lot of people say. Do you disagree with that?

I was thinking of getting into mining just to get anonymous sats. Maybe a service offering hosted mining with no kyc ? Have you looked into that ?

Hosted mining sounds like a lot of unnecessary hoops to jump through. Why not just buy them p2p?

You can set up a #bitaxe on Ocean in less than 5 minutes

Absolutely. But if you have to pay with your card, you're no longer 100% anonymous right ? The best way I found is to buy with cash directly from someone but transactions are capped at around €1500 and the sats come at a premium. Have you bought P2P ? What channel did you use ?

Don’t you already pay with your card when you do hosted mining? Just find someone to trade with in cash

I’ve enjoyed digging into the open source #bitaxe equipment. Helps me understand more about what is going on under the hood.

I’ve opted for both I guess.
