Best take I've seen on the El Salvador changes. The same people that criticized his moves years ago are the current critics. They've been wrong more than right imo.

theoretically he is protecting the will of the people. like any system, it could be gamed. but there is no evidence of that as of yet.

Agreed, and their genuine progress is still fragile. Could it turn bad, yes. Could this be the right move, yes.
