I am really sad that everything is drilled down to this. The way I always understood socialism, is that it should be about selecting a minimum bar such that no one with bad luck has to end up with an absolutely miserable life.

There is a huge difference between wanting everything for free and choosing a bare minimum that you wish anyone can have even if their whole world goes to shit.

I don't know if my understanding of socialism is so wrong, but if socialism is just communism then why are there two words.
