Why is there a housing crisis?

> Because the prices of homes are sky high, and people can't afford homes.

Why are prices of houses high?

> Because there are so many buyers.

But then how can't people buy houses if there are so many buyers?

> Because most of the buyers are buying it for investment and not for living in.

Why do people buy houses as an investment?

> Because people think home prices will appreciate over time, and that is the only way to keep the worth of their money.

Why is that the only way?

> Because the currency they could store their value in decreases in value over time, due to inflation.

So you are saying that inflation causes the housing crisis?

Just Tax Land; there is not a lack of housing, there is a lack of *affordable* housing.

True! I think that is also enough. Also "easier" to solve, because we don't need to build new houses that would take time.

Indeed!

People must ask themselves why housing is so expensive? Well, housing whether you like it or not has turned into an investment, and the big banks and financial institutions are very much treating it as such.

To that end they have a big warchest that they use to keep housing unsold to maintain an artificial scarcity; you and your families pay the price, literally, and by having to have a hone, you're also forced into the game of the big corporate players.
