I generally agree but since I’m the contrarian I’ll offer gentle pushback:

1) generally but not always. Do the math to be sure

2) don’t forget the concept of opportunity cost and time value of money.

3) as long as it doesn’t expire or your purchasing preferences don’t change

All good points!

I would say it is a balance that needs to be struck, but in any extreme scenario, it may be impossible to source certain items no matter how much purchasing power someone has. In which case, extra ammo could come in handy.

For sure!

I tend to keep about a 24 month supply on hand. Levels will fluctuate but being able to have a decent buffer enables buying things in bulk when they are on sale which is a major life hack

And extra ammo is always a great resource 😁

I've considered it, but yeah... ammo is a problem and no doubt I would be placed on yet another watchlist.
