Good example of what is hard about walking away entirely from the status quo content platforms

An sms from a mate about our families catching up, and turns out he’s been on my YT channel

He’s definitely not a Nostr user (yet), but clearly gets value from the type of information I like to debate

By walking away, you no longer touch that person

Is that my responsibility? No, of course not. It’s up to them to look deeper, if they choose to

But it does make me think my revamped podcast would be prudent to post on legacy still

Just the episode. Nothing more

But then you do that, and the reaction is poor, as the algorithm doesn’t reward it

So what’s the point…?

Needs some more thinking

go easy on that rearview mirror fella ...

the abundance you encounter behind and in front is a compliment to your ability to notice, a symptom of your gratitude

is 'should I stay or should I go?' the right question?

or simply follow the heart (without question), the heart dealing in feelings as it does

I appreciate your openness and humility Jake, a rarity in the present climate. I feel welcome to communicate with you, in confidence you will grant me a generous hearing. respect.

I am open to speaking with anyone, whatever their story

Appreciate the kind works thank you

🙏🏻

Freemium on YT and X; premium on Nostr?

Nice idea

Been seeing the same.

Push the content.

Pull the engagement.

Fuck the algo.

It’s like leaving breadcrumbs in the old world in a way

If a podcaster you just leave full eps

No clips, no comments, no nothing

Something I struggle with too. I'm definitely am in in Nostr more than X recently. My interactions on Nostr are much more human and genuine and consistently get reactions and I feel I add value to peoples experiences while also learning myself.

Tweets in X seem to go into the ether unless a big account somehow seems to retweet or pick it up. I also feel guilt for reinforcing a legacy control system.

But if all the Bitcoiners just abandon X who is left to spread the message?

I don't have the answers.
