I hear you. I agree that once someone is an adult (or old enough to questions things and form their own opinion), the goal should be to teach rather than indoctrinate. But when someone is young and naturally inclined to accept things without question, it’s our responsibility to shape that early conditioning wisely. If kids are going to be impressionable anyway, better that we ‘indoctrinate’ them into questioning, thinking for themselves, and resisting propaganda, instead of passively absorbing whatever narrative is loudest.

I want(ed) to teach my children to question and appriciate different points of view. The reality is that children absorb a lot before they have the capacity for critical thinking.
