I dont agree with the part that miners need more fees to keep tge lights on. Thats not what Satoshi Nakomoto intended im sure.

People worry too much about miner fees. The ones that worry can always overpay to help if they want.
I'm trying all these different places to buy, sell, send, rec, I keep taking up to 3% hits, kinda wonder how much of this "cost of learning " neo, new age shit. I'm going to have to pay. #ln was supposed to fix that. kinda feel lied to. politicians tell lies they knew they'd never keep apparently so do some node runners.
These arguments about including spam and other bullshit in the blockchain too drive-up fees is total garbage.
Only run node software that filters out that garbage like #Knots. We may need to strip out the code that facilitates that garbage. So nodes don't have to support that crap.
Lastly we need to start blacklisting, sanctioning and DDOSing big miners that fail to filter out that garbage from the block chain.
When their blocks start getting rejected they'll get the message. We may also be able to compress and encrypt the malignant spam per block to essentially kill it..🦖💀😠😊
