It's not true. Creating sats does not require energy. Energy use is a byproduct of interest and fair distribution, not creation.

i did. i am not arguing that there is a necessary amount of energy or if that is a good or bad thing as your article points out.
i am articulating that there is clearly an outsized opportunity to obtain the same amount of sats via a note on nostr today vs the real life cost of mining a block reward in 100 years
