I feel this, familiarity has a lot to do with it. As a long time Android user I'm constantly frustrated by iOS anytime I have to interact with it.

Muscle memory is one thing. I'm referring to objectively bad design choices. There just isn't the same level of thoughtfulness.

Hm. Maybe I haven't used iOS enough, but I've never noticed the same. What stands out between iOS and Android?

Radio buttons are non-standard, screen edges bleed out of rounded display corners, wildly different, application of core OS design elements and widgets. To name a few. :)
