Same

That was my plan for this 2024 spring, but didn't get to it in full the way I wanted too.

Need to incentivize folks in my town to actually use it

Been thinking about asking local businesses to share coupon codes via the mesh over #reticulum or #meshtastic, having people reply over mesh to redeem the coupon. Or, they have to walk in the store, showing the mesh message to use the coupon. Can't just have a friend take a snapshot and share it with them

- wow I like this. Please tear it to shreads if someone doesn't think its a good idea

There is a whole lot of potential in ecommerce with it. Imagine a simple Reticulum-backed app or storefront. Hell even a micron page. To order supplies from a hardware store.

There is so much middle man that can be cut out.

Yes

To me, this is the last atop for us, the last barrier to cross for true sovereignty

Nostr is close, keet is even closer (but can't verify source code soo doesn't count), but they all still rely on traditional ISP's

-Bitcoin for value

-Nostr for speech

-FOSS(H) 3D printers for 2A🔫

- HAM/mesh for base layer communications*

*this is the final boss; defeating the ISP's (We have HAM, but illegal to be transmit encrypted traffic [FDC watches all bands like a hawk])

#Reticulum & #Meshtastic are the final frontiers for us to be able to communicate truly freely, self-hosted, independently

Yggdrasil is great, for IP-based commms and routing.

Reticulum as a further routing layer for different types of low power networks (but even high bandwidth ones would do well)

#Reticulum has enormous potential to combine industrial data and financial markets in a totally novel + self-sovereign way.

I think WiFi would suffice, no need for HAM.

We could use fast or slower links. Or much slower WiFi HaLow links
