antivenoms are actually effective, if you are still sick after 48 hours after a bite you will probably benefit from a shot of the right antivenom

it's not the same as mRNA, just straight up kick their face if they try to fuck with you and push you to let them inject something other than an antivenom vial that you visually inspect
