Substitutionary atonement is at the very center of Christianity grounded in the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus. See Leviticus 16 and Hebrews 9-10 concerning how Jesus fulfills Yom Kippur. Regarding Islam, however, you are correct. It categorically rejects the need for and possibility of substitutionary atonement.
