Primal has set the standard for UX by, in large part, developing a *full stack* client that, while still maintaining relays as the authoritative source of notes, is able to deliver the UX that users expect.

Other clients have foolishly hamstrung themselves by demonizing server code even when it serves user interests and in no way compromises user autonomy or #Nostr decentralization.

In other words, purity signalling was costly and gave Primal a huge advantage.

I agree to some extent however one criticism: they bitch about creators not wanting to be here on one hand

And yet give their Ten31 investors preferential treatment in the “trending” column. Likewise in the onboarding giving a default list that includes a lot of cronies. Excuse me but Odell is not trending 100% of the time. Part of that is happenstance as the investors are popular, however I believe it is in nostrs interest to attract creators by giving them an initial signal boost. Personally I am an anon and don’t give a shit but I have heard this complaint from many creators that I’d rather see build a censorship resistant base here.

Whether intentional or not you are there nearly 100% of the time.

Even purely for selfish reasons it should be changing up to keep users engaged and encourage creators to post here more often. The sales pitch for nostr can’t be “here come lose money with us for ideology” I think it has to be “get some in case it catches on” at this stage
