Sparrow is the GOAT, but I honestly don't recommend using a desktop/laptop machine for interfacing with your #Bitcoin keys unless (A) it's a dedicated device and (B) you know how to reasonably secure it.

For most, a dedicated #GrapheneOS device is a safer way to go. Would love to see Sparrow come to Android. It's written in Java (I think), so should be possible with enough work.

Everything is verifiable on the hardware device and it can easily be air gapped. What are the security risks you’re referring to?

Linux is a gaping sieve, and the other desktop OSes aren't much better.

Attacks on the interfacing software is what I would be worried about.

You should never trust the interfacing software, regardless of the setup.

Always “decoderawtransaction” and verify before broadcasting a tx is the only way to be 100% sure of what you signed.

This applies for cold wallet setup of course, “spending” wallets can be much more yolo.
