Love the analytics on #Plebs... let's content creators gain insight into the performance of their channel in a similar way to centralized video platforms.

How do analytics work in interop? That is, how do you establish view count if I watch on another client?
Unfortunately, the view count only works if viewed from the Plebs app. Other clients could integrate the way I’ve built tracking views, but from what I hear it’s futile to try submitting new NIPs to the main Nostr repo. Nostr is pretty splintered atm in terms of what NIPs do different things. For example, Plebs uses the forked version of NIP-71 that’s used by diVine. Although, it also has backwards compatibility with the kinds detailed on the “official” NIP-71 spec.
That said, other engagement metrics such as likes/dislikes, zaps, and comments are aggregated across all of Nostr and included in the analytics regardless of whether they originated on the Plebs app.
