Humans have all the control, if they were just adult enough to understand that and take it. If they had the confidence in themselves to retain that responsibility.

But that's been pummelled right out of them. By design.

An individual without an identity is a hollow channel to be exploited.

If they only knew what something as small as an actual hobby that was parallel and congruent with who they were, could do for them. It's a gateway, a small step towards a portal deeper within themselves.

But that takes work, and social likes are easier to acquire.
