Thanks for the info. Im on Damus.

Im guessing Nostr still is in a early stage, since I can't get a good result on search for intrest I follow on other platforms. I see some Linux users have started crossposting atleast.

you are right

it is pretty new in comparison, it is community based and decentralized therefore there is a massive trade off,

without centralization, the efforts are scattered across different clients and devs, the grants follow separate interests and relays are not free for the ones who runs them, specially the large ones like 'nostr . build" or the ones ran by Damus for instance...

adoption is increasing due to the awareness of online privacy and the circus on going with X, tiktok and the likes, but with no PM and PR departments we have a long way to go to be mainstream, same happened to Bitcoin

Let's hope the future is bright. But I think Nostr has ways to go before avarage joe comes walking in. Heck I used alot of time to get friends to use Signal instead of Messenger, and still its a hurdle for some.

Hoping more ppl gets concerned about their privacy online, but I guess some major security scandals is gonna happen before they open their eyes.

same here, and still struggling, imagine to move them to SimpleX...

more mixed mind liked people are needed, there are many tribes out there, problem is, this community was started by maxis bitcoiners, their attitude makes it even harder for adoption, yet, I see a growing community of artists, musicians and even tribes from other cryoto currencies like Monero, they will form their decentralized groups and fund their relays and flourish here once they get it...

Yeah, I prefer some easy of use while still keeping big corp claws out of my life.

Have never understood the Study bitcoin thing.. It's like they found God and still want to be a cult 😅

LOL

it has to do with the ethos of its origins, reading the short white paper of Satoshi Nakamoto triggered a lot of people to create a movement and therefore a tribe or as you call it, a cult. Despite it fails at being the p2p money for the people it became the best in class store of value.

logically, a strong tribe evolves and expands, Bitcoin has done a very good job helped by being the first to market,

other crypto are doing a decent job and expanding, ironically, the more toxic the tribe is the more chances it has to survive and succeed, look at the called XRP army, the founders dump on them millions periodically to maintain their business, the tribe is still there defending the project and is thriving, many other examples as Litecoin, the founder dumped all of it publicly and still the tribe is loyal to the project, I believe ADA has a similar tribe despite it has performed poorly, still a strong follow and the newly Pulsechain network with a following growing despite of some weird scandals, that tribe seems to be quite toxic and united as XRP or Bitcoin...

Aint got time for all that 😂 Have been thinking of BTC for a few years, but never invested. In hindsight, maybe I should have.
