If they say "yes", ask "why?"
If (it's a big if) they're able to answer, follow up with "Do you have any data to support that?"

I think it's a positive thing to ask a handful of people around you to think thru what they think they believe.
Leadership is about leading, not just parroting what everybody else believes.
Critical thinking is about questioning our premises. It helps one make better decisions.
