Re Bookmarking, it depends on the client you are using. On Damus you can bookmark by clicking the share icon and then Add Bookmark.
Damus is not available for me, I'm using plebstr at the moment. Will try amethyst. Thanks!

Yes. On Amethyst, you can have both private and public bookmarks
