Let me help your fomo: this first model will likely be clunky. Everybody is saying it’s annoyingly heavy. It’s priced to be for 3rd party app developers. Not mass consumer aimed. Not many apps are built or scheduled to be ready anytime soon. I’d bet Vision Pro 2 will be at least 5x better in many categories.

The FOMO is real… after all we are group of early adopters. I just can’t stomach the price tag.
Especially knowing that the next one will be cheaper and better.
V1 always sucks with Apple.
None of the headsets I have seen so far gives me fomo. If I can't at least also be used as a secondary screen with motion sensor or something with an open API that would just work for linux, I'm not interested.

What I want is not really "Linux APIs". I want a headset that I can configure as a 12k by 2k pixel screen and connect it via HDMI. The headset should then simulate that screen at a configurable size and distance. Oh and yeah, it should not phone home.
