Reminded of the story of the two disparate cultures, who praise rarely but mean it and insult freely but don't mean it, and those who praise freely but don't mean it and insult rarely but mean it. But not enough to actually tell it.

Men can take a joke, women will backstab you with a poisoned dagger over a minor slight.
