GM 🌞 the “very demure, very mindful” trend on #TikTok could be an entire case study on viral memes. 🤓 yeah, I know I’m a nerd.

got an example for those of us not on tiktok?

So it started with a creator named Jools Lebron and is meant to be humor/self-satire.

Like I could say: “See how I post only on #Nostr? Very demure. Very mindful. I’m not like these other girls out here still posting to the app formerly known as Twitter. Very demure. Very cutesy.” 🤣

Without the whole meme context it’s a little hard to understand, but that’s the general setup.

I know nobody asked for the whole backstory, but I do think the OG version was one of the Kardashians, and of course they used it seriously, not satirically. It certainly helped the viral moment that Jools kind of looks and sounds like a long lost Kardashian sibling too 🤣 I love the internet. Stay weird, friends.

Gm Jessi 😄 ☕

I love these trends, cause there is vids copying the demure, then there's people who lost the joke, others pointing that out/explaining or shouting why are we suddenly saying demure, and of course cat/dog/chicken vids with demure sound.

Yes! That’s what I love about it too! It fascinates me how memes become memes basically overnight.
