People in the US are very privileged financially. I was talking to a friend that told me in a lot of 3rd world countries, people get paid once a month and have no access to any forms of credit. So in a sticky situation, you can’t just buy something and pay it off over time. You have to borrow the cash and pay the full amount right there on the spot or get fucked. The poor people without savings get screwed and the ones with savings just get debased unless they have dollars.
