From Spark to Blaze: The Simple System for Success

I hear it all the time: What's the secret to success? Is there some magic formula?

After a couple of decades in the trenches, here's what I've figured out. Success is simple. It's like starting a fire. You've got your tinder, your kindling, your fuel wood. You don't just throw a match at a log and expect it to burst into flames, right? You've got to build it up, step by step.

First, the tinder. That's your passion, your spark. It's that thing that lights you up, gets you out of bed in the morning. Without it, you're just going through the motions. Find your tinder, and you've got your start.

Next, the kindling. That's your skills, your knowledge. You can't expect to succeed without putting in the work, without learning your craft. You've got to feed that initial spark with something substantial, or it'll fizzle out.

Then, the fuel wood. That's your perseverance, your grit. This is what keeps the fire going, what turns a spark into a roaring blaze. You've got to keep feeding the fire, keep pushing, even when things get tough.

Follow this system, and you'll get your fire. You'll get your success. It might not look exactly like you pictured it. Hell, it might be better.

But here's the thing: You can't cheat the system. You can't skip the kindling and go straight to the fuel wood. You can't ignore the tinder and expect the kindling to light itself. It doesn't work that way.

And all those "get rich quick" schemes? Total bullshit. They're like trying to start a fire with wet wood. You might get a few sparks, but it's not going to last.

So, find your tinder. Build your kindling. Feed your fire. And remember, USE GOOD, HIGH-QUALITY WOOD.

If you follow this system, if you put in the time and the effort, you'll find success. You'll find yourself achieving more than you ever thought possible, and you'll do it without even thinking about it. Why? Because success, like a good fire, is all about the system.

โ€œFeed your fire. And remember, USE GOOD, HIGH-QUALITY WOOD.โ€

True on so many levels. And, at the base level

Body: Real food, exercise

Mind: Have respect for the value of you attention. Reject garbage that doesnโ€™t offer any value

Not saying itโ€™s easy, every day is a test ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

As you probably figured, thereโ€™s a flood of such get rich schemes coming online with the theme of using ChatGPT and other AI tools as a digital genie/slave to do all your work for you. Some things never change, they just get a fresh coat of BS paint.

There are also ways to use your passion + ChatGPT and get rich. But the people buying the products telling you how to do it, never will.

How are you defining โ€œsuccessโ€ here?

Financial?

Yes, thatโ€™s important. But there are many financially successful people who have never had an original thought in their lives.

I would argue that a successful life comes from facing the grim realities of the pointlessness of existence head on (and as soon as possible), and still finding ways to make the best of it.

This is the only way to truly be resilient when life inevitably doesnโ€™t go the way you and your foolish but well-intentioned parents had hoped.

After seeing countless people die over the years, I can tell you the end of human life is extremely consistent from one to the next. No amount of political or religious fervor can save a person from the realization at the end that it was all meaningless and unnecessary from the start.

Telling ourselves differently, often for our whole lives, is the greatest and most harmful lie of all.
