I couldn't care less if the leading roles make sense. Wesley Snipes as blade was perfect. Replacing him with Keanu or Johnny Depp would have been just as unappealing as replacing the little mermaid with that unfortunate black girl suffering from FAS. End black washing. Create new appealing black characters don't put existing ones in blackface. The rings of power was especially bad.
