Get yourself a time-machine, go back to like 2010 (or maybe try eBay), and pick yourself up one of these. Mine still works great! I don't use it that much but the toner never dries out... it lasts literally years before I've used it up and need to replace it.
PS. I wouldn't touch anything newer from HP, because they don't seem to let you really OWN the printer anymore... for that, I hear Brother might be best.
