Idk because we pay sats to open lightning channels so wouldn't that mean they are on a higher level of value? I guess we also pay sats to close lightning channels to get UTXOs back so I'm not sold in either direction. Care to convince me?
To me (as long as we keep the protocol that way); lightning and UTXO's are married. One-to-One.

Yes, as you know, technically all lightning comes from UTXO's, thus collapsing back to the base layer.
I was noting this moreso as,
- People will always want UTXO's
- ⚡ is the same, but could have routing issues, so you just loop out to on-chain and pay that way
- ecash will always be at a discount, since its a form of credit for ⚡ basically
Unless we get more regular mints that issue ecash, only redeemable for UTXO's (I've said beofe, which would be great)
- now that to me is basically a "here's a credit for a UTXO anytime you want. Here, verify that we have the UTXO on-chain for you to claim at any time."

I've always wanted a way to just hand someone ' a 12-word seedphrase'. Opendimes have a bit of friction (need to plug it in, copy/paste the addr, etc.). An ecash token, redeemable for a specific UTXO would be cool
- just scan QR code to see UTXO on chain.
