Because seeing someone fake smoking in a movie might trigger some ptsd episode about smoking? Then they will have to go outside and get some air (where they will likely see someone smoking) or they might have to watching something else where there might be smoking. Oh no I found a smoking emoji 🚬 and my phone didn’t trigger warn me first.

Well, you don’t tell the combat veteran that people that need trigger warnings are pathetic

There are people who have real ptsd who need trigger warnings and then there are people who need trigger warnings over cigarettes because they self diagnosed themselves with ptsd. Not the same thing.

People with real diagnosed ptsd are in no way pathetic for needing warnings. People who pretend to have ptsd in order to virtue signal just diminish those who have a legit diagnosis.
