Squat is alot harder and takes a lot of time to get the technique right. Little things like finding the best way the weight sits on your shoulders can result in mass lift improvements as well. Its honestly best to approach squat from a low weight and build up with good form

I learned that a long time ago. I could leg press like 600-700lbs and thought it was impressive.

I want to say leg press equates to 2x your actual squat weight, maybe more than 2x.
