It's kind of funny how they just dropped the "hey he's actually competent and right wing" shtick the minute it became clear that Rep voters weren't buying it, and now he just sounds identical to Pence. Can't let the Overton Window shift right in exchange for nothing, after all.

I guess they're still hoping the Dems will go all-in to whack Trump, and Gay Ron will get to squeak through, but at that point I think a crazed boomer might actually assassinate him.
