A template exists of (easy to read) code with variables
A layout is a visual presentation (could be a template) to some one who doesnt need to read/write code
Discussion
Would you say, is a Layout something that you can nest? Layouts in other layouts? 🤔
Because NPs Templates (or how they will be called) can be nested 😁
