“I have learned to (or try to) never say something unduly harsh on the spur of the moment. Wait at least 24 hours and then, if it still seems advantageous, proceed. There's almost always a better way to proceed. And trying to get something done, you can sometimes get the job at hand done by getting mad. You use up your reservoir of goodwill though. Usually an alternative way can be found that not only gets the job at hand done but paves the way for getting another job done tomorrow or next year."
