Not everyone will run a node, to tell the truth few people will. That's not the point of bitcoin.

It’s one of the main points, not the main point. Decentralisation, don’t trust, verify. Consensus through individual nodes.

I agree, but not everyone will run a node and this is not vital to being free and using bitcoin.
