tbh, i think people have attached too strong of a negative connotation towards muting.
it’s one of the better ways too clear out whatever content you might define as “noise” for yourself, so you can have more “signal” on your feed
it’s understandable! i have zero hurt feelings, and i just love that you’re able to do that. it is funny though seeing the pot call the kettle black in this instance.
it’s a healthy and positive habit on your end to have enough clarity and self-reflection to actually be pragmatically curious on the reasoning of the mute, so you could atleast learn more about yourself 💜

I don’t use mute in a strong way though. It’s more of a casual thing for me - mute often and unmute too.
Sometimes mute is just an easy way to clear your feed of notes you don’t care to see but it doesn’t mean you don’t like that person.
I’ve always been a proponent of having an option to mute for x time so I don’t have to unmute manually.
I had nostr:npub12262qa4uhw7u8gdwlgmntqtv7aye8vdcmvszkqwgs0zchel6mz7s6cgrkj muted for more than a month I think without realizing it 😂
Give me an option to mute for 1 day; 2 days, a week at max and I think that would be great.

I tend to be more conservative in my muting because I probably won’t remember to unmute someone. I do think I follow a smaller number than average. A temporary mute or specific hashtag mute would be awesome.

Easy to mute without making it public also though.
